BEng (Hons) Software Engineering with Foundation Year

Our four-year BEng (Hons) in Software Engineering with Foundation Year course equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the diverse field of software systems.

This program involves building and maintaining software systems and other computer-based solutions. By examining all aspects of the process—from understanding the initial problem, through analysis, design, and development, to testing, documentation, and maintenance—this degree provides a focused yet comprehensive education.

You will explore the underlying principles of software engineering while gaining knowledge and practical experience with the latest technologies. The course encourages you to appreciate both the technical and human aspects involved in software systems and design, systems analysis, programming, database specification and design, and system security.
