Overview
With the introduction of the SQE1 requirements for aspiring solicitors, traditional LLB courses often lack essential learning areas that would give graduates a strong chance of meeting the SQE1 requirements promptly.
Our LLM program is designed to fill these gaps by offering students the subjects necessary for the SQE1 that are not covered in all traditional LLB courses. Consequently, this course targets students who have already earned an undergraduate law degree and need to study the additional subjects included in the SQE1.
The course covers Property Practice and Procedure, Law of Succession, Criminal Practice and Evidence, Business Law and Solicitors Accounts, and Dispute Resolution. Students will also complete a Postgraduate Major Project in a legal subject of their choice. Assessment methods in the course are varied and aim to instill an understanding of the course content and its application. In addition to practical and written elements, students will also be assessed through MCQ exams, mirroring the SQE1 format.
